Terms of Service

Effective September 24, 2026

1. What Kaedo is

Kaedo is an app for organizing group events — trips, parties, gatherings. It lets a group share plans, chat, split who-owes-what, collect RSVPs, and share photos. By creating an account or using Kaedo, you agree to these terms.

2. Kaedo never touches your money

Kaedo does not hold, transfer, process, or request funds. Cost splitting in Kaedo is bookkeeping only: it tracks who owes what and can open a third-party payment app (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal) with details pre-filled. Any actual payment happens entirely inside those services, under their terms, between you and the other person. Kaedo is not a party to any payment, cannot reverse or refund one, and is not responsible for disputes about money between group members. Marking something "paid" in Kaedo is a note between friends, not a financial record.

Paying for a trip is different. Your first trip is free. Each trip after that is a one-time in-app purchase ($6.99 in the US; local pricing elsewhere) made by whoever organizes it, through Apple or Google, under their terms. The people you invite never pay. A purchase becomes a credit on your account that starts one trip; credits are personal, don’t transfer, and aren’t refunded once the trip they paid for exists. Refund requests for purchases go to Apple or Google, who handled the payment.

3. Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google and must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country). You’re responsible for activity on your account. Organizers can add people to an event by name before those people have accounts; when someone claims their spot, that entry becomes theirs.

4. Your content

Messages, photos, receipts, polls, and event details you add belong to you. You give Kaedo a limited license to store and display that content to the people in your event — that’s the product working, and nothing more. Don’t upload content that’s illegal, infringing, or abusive, and only add people and photos you have the right to add. Organizers can remove content and people from their events; we can remove content or accounts that break these rules.

5. Invite links

Event invite links let anyone holding the link see that event’s invite page (name, dates, town, who’s in, the vibe board and the album) and RSVP. Costs, chat and the street address are not on it. Share links only with people you want in the event; the organizer can replace the link at any time, which cuts off everyone who only had the old one.

6. The service, as-is

Kaedo is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kaedo and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service (currently: nothing).

7. Ending things

You can stop using Kaedo and delete your account at any time from the profile screen or by emailing us. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (content licenses for shared events, liability limits) survive termination.

8. Text messages

Kaedo Trip Reminders: a guest who turns on texts from an invite page gets reminders about that one trip (the RSVP deadline, the day before, a payment request), up to two a day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for help, or email support@kaedoapp.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; if the changes are material we’ll say so in the app. Continuing to use Kaedo after changes means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of Tennessee, USA. Questions: support@kaedoapp.com.
